What is this SIC code lookup?
Search any business and see its SIC classification with the description spelled out, up to six codes per record where a business has multiple activities. It also works in reverse: look up a business you know to find which SIC code covers its industry, then use that code to build a list of its peers.
SIC codes power industry segmentation, government filings and risk models, but finding the code behind a specific business usually means digging through filings. This lookup puts the code next to the live business profile, free and without an account.
Running lookups one at a time?

What is a SIC code?
A Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code describes what a business does. Two systems share the name: the US SIC, four digits, dating from 1987 and still used in SEC filings even though NAICS officially replaced it, and the UK SIC 2007, five digits, which Companies House requires on every incorporation.
The context tells you which one you are reading: 7372 is prepackaged software in the US system, while 62012 is business software development in the UK system. A result here shows the codes as the source register carries them, so you always know which scheme applies.
