What does the phone validation do?
Anyone can type any number into a form. This check verifies the relationship between the number and the person onboarding, and returns the network operator. Typos, throwaway numbers and numbers belonging to someone else are caught before they enter your records.
That is different from sending an SMS code. An SMS proves someone is holding the handset right now; this check says something about who the number belongs to. Together they are stronger than either alone.

How is this different from SMS verification?
An SMS code proves possession of the handset at this moment. This check verifies whether the number belongs to the given person and which operator serves it. Onboarding usually wants both.
Does it work on landlines?
It is built for mobile numbers, because those are personal. Landlines say little about an individual.
What data comes back?
The match result between number and person, plus the network operator. You configure in the flow what each outcome triggers.
How do I integrate it?
