Three Polish registers, one API

KRS API - Polish Business Register Data

Polish registry data is split across three systems: KRS for court-registered entities, CEIDG for sole traders and REGON for statistics, each with its own API, auth model and limits. CompanyData unifies 6.2M+ Polish business records with KRS, NIP and REGON numbers, industry codes, financials and contacts in one REST API.

  • 6.2M+ Polish businesses

  • KRS + CEIDG + REGON unified

  • SIC & NACE codes on every record

What Is the KRS API?

The KRS (Krajowy Rejestr Sądowy) is Poland's court register of legal entities. Sole traders register in CEIDG, and every entity also carries a statistical REGON number and a NIP tax number.

Each register has its own access route: the KRS open API serves free JSON extracts per entity, CEIDG v2 requires an application and JWT token, and REGON's BIR service is SOAP-only with session keys and daytime throttling of roughly 3 requests per second. There is no unified endpoint, no unified identifier handling and no bulk dump across the three. Financial statements live in yet another repository, and UBO data in the separate CRBR.

CompanyData does the unification: Polish records keyed by KRS, NIP and REGON numbers with legal form, status, industry classification, revenue, employee counts and contact data, in one REST API that also covers 200+ other countries. Poland's PKD codes follow the NACE structure, so the NACE and SIC codes on every record slot Polish businesses into the same industry filters you use everywhere else.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The KRS open API serves free, keyless JSON extracts per entity. But it only covers court-registered entities: sole traders live in CEIDG (application plus JWT token) and statistical data in REGON (SOAP with session keys and throttling). There is no unified Polish register API.

KRS is the 10-digit court register number for legal entities. NIP is the 10-digit tax number every business carries. REGON is the 9-digit statistical number (14 for local units). CompanyData records carry these identifiers, so you can match records against any of the three registers.

Poland classifies businesses with PKD codes, which follow the European NACE structure (PKD 2025 is rolling out through 2027). Every CompanyData record carries NACE and SIC codes as filterable fields, so Polish businesses slot into the same industry filters you use for every other country.

Financial statements are filed in a separate repository as documents. CompanyData provides revenue and employee figures as structured fields on Polish records, ready to filter and sort on.

CompanyData covers 6.2M+ Polish businesses across all three registers in one REST API, with identifiers, industry codes, financials and contact data unified per record. One integration covers Poland and 200+ other countries.
