Our data comes from the business registers of Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland, where installation companies are classified under SIC codes 1711 (plumbing, heating and air-conditioning), 1731 (electrical work) and 1796 (installation or erection of building equipment, not elsewhere). In NACE, the European code those registers use, 79,077 of them (100%) sit in classes 43.22 (plumbing, heat and air-conditioning installation), 43.21 (electrical installation) and 43.29 (other construction installation), part of division 43 (specialised construction activities).
